Selected teaching highlights

Research methods & statistics, reimagined

A flipped-classroom redesign of the Honours and MPP statistics stream (PSYC8411 / PSYC4811). Students work hands-on with real datasets in JASP, and statistics anxiety is tackled head-on through first-week discussion, assigned peer study groups, and approachable recorded modules. Consistently rated 4.3–4.5 — impressive for a statistics course.

Authentic clinical assessment

Advanced Assessment (PSYC8510) is built around three real, de-identified cases spanning structured diagnostic, psychopathology, and cognitive assessment. Students learn each tool hands-on, administer it to a volunteer, deliver a feedback session, and write a professional report — course evaluations of 4.8–5.0 / 5.

Research supervision

Primary supervision, panel chairing, and co-supervision across doctoral, masters, and honours students (7 current, 33 completed) — meet them all on the People page.
